Carton packaging refers to the packaging of products in paper boxes in order to protect the products, facilitate storage and transportation, and promote sales during the distribution process. Carton packaging is one of the most widely used packaging methods. Different from wooden box packaging, woven bag packaging, cloth bag packaging, plastic box packaging, carton packaging has the characteristics of easy material selection, light weight, easy printing, easy design and molding, and low cost. It is widely used in sales packaging and transportation packaging.
According to the paper quality, there are corrugated boxes, single-layer cardboard boxes, etc. Cardboard boxes are commonly used in three layers, five layers, seven layers are less used. Each layer is divided into lining paper, corrugated paper, core paper, and face paper. There are tea paper, kraft paper, and corrugated paper for core paper. The feel is different, and the paper (color, feel) produced by different manufacturers is also different. The corrugated cardboard with different corrugated shapes has different functions. Even if the same quality of top and back paper are used, due to the difference in corrugated shape, the performance of the formed corrugated cardboard is also different. Their technical indicators and requirements are shown in Table 1. Corrugated cardboard made of A-shaped corrugation has better cushioning properties and is rich in elasticity. C-shaped corrugated is next to A-shaped corrugated. However, stiffness and impact resistance are better than A-type flutes; B-type flutes are densely arranged, and the surface of the corrugated cardboard is flat, with high bearing pressure, suitable for printing; E-type flutes are thin and dense, which shows its rigid strength.
